General Statement of Duties

Assists the HRIS Administrator with data entry, data collection and data management. Assists the Benefits Managers in the administration of lay employees and priests’ benefits, works with all diocesan locations and benefit providers.  Assists in maintaining and monitoring employee records in HCM system.  Provides a high level of customer service to employees and promotes positive employee relations. 

Education and Experience Requirements

  • Associate Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Human Resources or related field.  Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
  • Minimum of three years’ experience working on implementing and maintaining human resource information management systems, ATSs and HRIS. Ceridian Dayforce preferred.
  • Note:  Additional two years related experience may be substituted in lieu of educational requirement.
  • Experience administering employee benefit plans in the areas of health, welfare, and retirement.
  • Ability to troubleshoot technical issues, develop and implement strategies to address problem areas with human resources technology.
  • Demonstrated ability to use current software being used by the diocese, i.e., Microsoft Office 365, email and other mass communication tools.
  • Live Video Conferencing and webinars and use of social media and Website as tools.

Other Requirements

  • Ability to gather and interpret data.
  • Strong grammatical skills, attention to detail, and strong analytical and problem-solving skills required.
  • Strong interpersonal skills essential. 
  • Must be able to work within established guidelines to comply with federal and state regulations and recordkeeping/administration requirements.
  • Ability to exercise good judgment in handling difficult and/or sensitive situations, with ability to maintain confidentiality in all transactions. 
  • Ability to exercise good organizational and time management skills, ability to manage projects and multiple priorities.
