Electrical & Instrumentation Designer

Location: Baton Rouge, LA

Salary: Up to $155,000

JOB DESCRIPTION

One of our customer's is seeking a Mid-level E&I Designer to support electrical and instrumentation design for large-scale industrial engineering and construction projects. This position will work closely with engineers, senior designers, and field teams to develop accurate E&I design packages and support projects from design through field execution.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and revise Electrical & Instrumentation (E&I) drawings and design documents
• Create detailed drawings and project deliverables using AutoCAD and Plant 3D
• Review, mark-up, and coordinate drawings
• Support electrical and instrumentation layouts, schematics, equipment drawings, and related documentation
• Assist with field verification and incorporate existing site conditions into drawings
• Work closely with engineering, construction, and field personnel during project execution
• Support multiple projects while meeting design standards, schedules, and project requirements
• Help identify design and constructability issues before implementation in the field

REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

• 8+ years of E&I-specific design experience
• Industrial or large-scale construction project experience
• Required hands-on experience with AutoCAD, Plant 3D, and Bluebeam
• Experience developing E&I drawings and design packages
• Experience supporting projects from design through construction/field execution
• Strong understanding of electrical and instrumentation drawings and terminology
• Ability to coordinate effectively with engineers, designers, and field/construction teams
