Office Clerical Assistant - Baton Rouge

$14.00/hour

Schedule: Monday-Friday, 7:00 AM - 4:00 PM

Position Type: Temporary

Express Employment Professionals - Downtown Baton Rouge is seeking a dependable Office Clerical Assistant for a temporary assignment with a local client in Baton Rouge. This position is ideal for someone who is organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable handling a variety of administrative and customer service responsibilities.
Core Responsibilities:

• Answer and direct incoming phone calls.
• Take accurate messages and route them to the appropriate personnel.
• Handle cash and credit card transactions.
• Balance and reconcile the cash drawer at the end of each day.
• Identify and resolve cash drawer discrepancies.
• Scan, organize, and file paperwork.
• Maintain accurate records and organized filing systems.
• Provide general clerical and administrative support.
• Follow directions and complete assigned tasks efficiently.
• Maintain a professional and organized office environment.

Skills & Experience Required:

• Previous clerical, administrative, receptionist, or customer service experience preferred.
• Strong communication and telephone skills.
• Cash handling experience preferred.
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to multitask in a busy office environment.
• Dependable, punctual, and professional.
• Strong computer skills, including scanning and document management.
• Willingness to learn and take direction.
