A busy clinic in the Baton Rouge area is seeking an experienced medical biller with the ability to keep a quick pace while maintaining strict attention to detail. This is an excellent long-term opportunity offering $16 per hour with benefits. Our client is hiring for an in-office position with full-time hours.
Position Duties:
• Prepare and submit accurate medical claims accurately and timely
• Follow up on unpaid, underpaid, rejected, and denied claims
• Verify patient insurance coverage and benefits
• Assist patients with insurance coverage, benefits, balances, and payment arrangements
• Monitor and maintain aging outstanding balances in accounts receivable
Required Qualifications:
• 2 years of previous in-office medical billing experience with a clinic or hospital
• Experience working with EMR/EHR systems
• Strong knowledge of Medicare, Medicaid, commercial insurance, claims, denials, and appeals
• Detail-oriented and organized with strong written and verbal communication skills
