Unarmed Flex Security Officer

Security Engineers is seeking dedicated Unarmed Flex Security Officers to help maintain safe and secure environments for our clients. Officers play a vital role in deterring incidents through visibility, vigilance, and proactive engagement. Responsibilities include patrolling, monitoring access points, verifying identification, responding to alarms/emergencies, and maintaining detailed logs. This role requires professionalism, strong observational skills, and the ability to remain calm under pressure.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Must have or be able to obtain a valid State Security License
• Valid driver's license and a Motor Vehicle Record that meets company approved driver standards
• Must be at least 18 years old
• TWIC Card Required.

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Patrol & Surveillance: Conduct walking and vehicle patrols to identify and report safety concerns; monitor access points; verify IDs and credentials; monitor surveillance systems for threats or suspicious activity
• Incident Response & Reporting: Respond to alarms, emergencies, and incidents per protocol; maintain accurate logs of activities and incidents; perform routine security tasks (e.g., locking/unlocking doors)
• Customer Service & Policy Enforcement: Assist visitors and employees professionally; enforce site-specific Post Orders and security protocols; ensure compliance with SEI and client policies (e.g., smoking, loitering, parking)

Required Skills & Abilities:

• Minimum: Ability to perform in fast-paced, high-pressure environments; weekend availability; strong situational awareness and problem-solving skills; ability to remain calm and effective in critical situations; basic computer skills; ability to use tablets for reporting
• Preferred: Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite

Minimum Physical Requirements With or Without reasonable accommodation (subject to change based on client-specific needs):

• Stand/sit for at least 1 hour without break
• Walk a minimum of ½ mile without stopping
• Climb at least 20 commercial facility stairs without stopping

Education & Experience:

• Minimum: High School Diploma or equivalent; TWIC Card
• Preferred: 1+ years verifiable Military, Law Enforcement or Security Experience; 2+ years of verifiable customer service experience

Education Requirements (All): High School Diploma or equivalent

Certification Requirements (All): Able to obtain any & all security certifications/licenses TWIC Card
