This is a short-term, high-visibility assignment.Our officers are seen by the public and the local business community every night, and we only want people we are proud to put in our uniform.Top performers will be considered for ongoing positions with Signal of Baton Rouge.The AssignmentPre-Opening: 10/19-10/22 (Mon-Thu)1 Position, Day shift: 8:00 AM - 5:00 PMWeekdays: 10/22-10/23 (Thu-Fri), and 10/26-10/30 (Mon-Fri)7 Positions, Evening Shifts: 4:00 PM - 10:00 PM (11:00 PM at the latest)Weekends: 10/24-10/25 (Sat-Sun) and 10/31-11/1 (Sat-Sun)12 Positions, Long Shifts: 11:00 AM - 10:00 PM (11:00 PM at the latest)ResponsibilitiesPosts include gate entry screening (metal detector wands), the guest drop-off area, and roving supportRadios and screening equipment are providedWork your assigned post exactly per post ordersGreet the public professionally and screen guests courteously and consistentlyDe-escalate verbally, call your supervisor early, and contact on-site law enforcement for suspicious or criminal activityStay in radio contact and complete accurate electronic reports every shiftStandards & ExpectationsEarly, in full uniform, and ready at the start of every shiftProfessional appearance and command presenceCalm under pressure: you control your temper and de-escalate firstYou show up for the shifts you commit to. This event has no backup benchMinimum Qualifications21 years of age or older; high school diploma or GEDAble to pass background check and drug screeningAble to obtain Louisiana security officer registration (LSBPSE).
