The Inventory Specialist will report to has a key role to ensure successful fulfillment of orders and projects from inception to completion, as well as receiving, maintaining inventory, and shipping operations at Innovasea. The candidate must exhibit a customer first attitude with excellent communication skills and demonstrated ability to set priorities and work in a fast-paced setting.Key responsibilitiesReceiving goodsManaging inventoryKitting for productionPalletizing, crating, and shipping finished goodsPick, pack, and ship raw materials for sales ordersReceiving, inventory management, and kitting tasks in the ERP systemInspect and quality check incoming materials as necessaryCoordinating materials and consolidating shipments on sales ordersTracking and organizing items on BOMs for shipmentStoring materials in organized fashionWorking with Procurement to return non-conforming material to suppliers as requiredCross referencing manufacturer part numbers with Innovasea stock codes to correctly identify and label incoming goodsCompleting cycle counts and physical stock countsInvestigating and correcting inventory discrepancies, including proposing procedural changes to address causes of inventory discrepanciesEnsuring inventory accuracy of parts, modules, assemblies, finished goodsUnloading palletized goods during deliveries, forklift certified preferredLoading palletized goods at time of shipmentSupporting office management tasks and additional duties as neededMust be able to establish and maintain excellent relationships with Purchasing, Engineering and Production staffWhat we are looking for3+ years' experience in a manufacturing or logistics environmentStrong understanding of inventory requirementsERP ExperienceStrong interpersonal skills with ability to communicate with colleagues about issues as they ariseAbility to work independently with minimal supervisionAssociate degree or equivalent work experienceBenefits of the JobPaid time off and holidaysComprehensive medical, dental, and vision coveragePaid parental leave401(k) plan with company matchEmployee Assistance ProgramEmployer-paid life and disabilityInnovasea is an equal-opportunity employer.
