You will support receiving, put-away, inventory accuracy, picking, packing, shipping, cycle counts, and customer deliveries. Your attention to detail, commitment to safety, and focus on customer service will help ensure materials are handled accurately and delivered efficiently while supporting an organized and productive distribution center.How you'll make an impact:Receive and unload motor freight, UPS, and other incoming shipments safely and accuratelyComplete stock put-away activities and maintain appropriate inventory slotting locationsPick, pack, weigh, and process outbound shipments accurately and efficientlyPrint delivery tickets, pull materials for fulfillment, and verify purchase order notes and material requirementsPrepare bills of lading and other required documentation for motor freight shipmentsCoordinate carrier pickups and safely load outbound motor freight shipmentsCoordinate and document customer will-call orders to ensure accurate and timely pickupMaintain warehouse inventory organization, accuracy, and general housekeeping standardsParticipate in required quarterly physical inventory counts and cycle-count activitiesReceive and verify purchase orders and confirm sales orders within AWC's internal .NET systemOperate company vehicles and material-handling equipment safely and in accordance with company policies and applicable regulationsComplete local customer deliveries safely, accurately, and professionally while representing AWC in a positive mannerPerform additional duties and responsibilities as assignedSkills you'll need:High school diploma or equivalentValid driver's license with an acceptable motor vehicle recordStrong verbal and written communication skillsExperience operating a forklift and other warehouse material-handling equipmentAbility to safely lift, push, pull, stand, stoop, kneel, squat, and reach throughout the workdayAbility to safely move and/or lift parts weighing up to 45 poundsStrong attention to detail with a commitment to inventory accuracy, quality, and safe work practicesAbility to provide professional, responsive customer service to customers, sales representatives, and internal team membersMeet productivity expectations while consistently adhering to safety policiesDemonstrated reliability, including regular attendance and punctualitySelf-motivated with a sense of urgency and the flexibility to work extended hours when business needs requireAbility to successfully complete applicable pre-employment requirements, including a physical, drug screen, and motor vehicle record checkHere's what will set you apart:2 + years of experience in a warehouse, distribution center, logistics, or similar environmentPrevious commercial or delivery driving experienceExperience making deliveries to chemical plants, refineries, paper mills, or other industrial facilitiesExperience with warehouse management, ERP, inventory, or order-fulfillment systemsThe Rewards:Employee Stock Ownership Plan (ESOP)401(k) MatchCompetitive PayMedical, Dental and Vision Insurance PackageEmployer-Paid Life InsurancePaid Time Off and Holiday PayAbout AWCAs employee co-owners, we're driven to do more than complete tasks; we build fulfilling careers by challenging assumptions and continually raising the bar.
