Lemoine Industrial, a civil and industrial construction company, is seeking an experienced Heavy Equipment Operator to join our field team. The ideal candidate has a minimum of three years of hands-on experience operatingdozers and excavators, with a strong grasp of grading, trenching, and machine control technology.

Responsibilities

• Operate excavators, dozers, and other grading equipment to cut/fill grade, spreading and leveling dirt and gravel to specification.

• Operate GPS/UTS machine control systems on dozers and excavators.

• Read and interpret blueprints and project specifications.

• Shoot grade using rotating lasers and site levels.

• Perform excavator work for underground trenching, including water and sewer line installation.

• Work across greenfield, heavy highway, and industrial civil construction projects.

• Handle a range of civil site scopes, including mass excavation, mass embankment and grading, rough and finish grading, large-diameter pipe installation, subsurface utility probing and installation, curb dress-back, slope work, drainage establishment, and material stockpiling.

• Perform daily inspections and routine maintenance on excavators, dozers, front-end loaders, packers, and related equipment.

• Complete pre- and post-shift equipment inspections and minor maintenance.

• Take on additional assignments as directed or as job responsibilities require.

• Pitch in on a variety of tasks on-site, including general labor when needed.

• Keep the job site clean and secure — tools and equipment put away, hazards eliminated, each day.

• Follow all safety and incident reporting procedures; report concerns promptly to the supervisor.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of experience operating bulldozers and excavators.

• Proven experience setting and establishing grade using rotating lasers and GPS/machine control systems.

• Working knowledge of civil site construction practices and terminology.

• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and specifications.
