The mission of the Louisiana Board of Pharmacy is to regulate the profession and practice of pharmacy in the interest of the health, safety, and welfare of the citizens of the state of Louisiana by restricting the entry into the practice of pharmacy to those persons meeting the minimum qualifications for licensure and by monitoring and regulating the professional practice of its licensees to ensure their compliance with the laws and rules governing the practice of pharmacy. The ideal applicant will possess the following competencies: Managing Resources, Accepting Direction, Communicating Effectively, Following Policies & Procedures, Demonstrating Initiative, Adapting to Change, Making Accurate Judgments, Thinking Critically, and Displaying Professionalism.
Minimum qualifications include three years of experience in administrative services; or six years of full-time work experience in any field; or a bachelor's degree. Experience substitution is available for college credits.
Job duties include procurement of equipment, supplies, and services; coordinating record retention program; monitoring building systems and scheduling repairs; managing loss prevention program; managing inventory of movable property; coordinating outgoing mail and printing orders; and assisting agency employees and board members with troubleshooting equipment and software issues.
