Your Role
As a Production Lead, you'll support the Production Supervisor and Chief in leading a team responsible for automotive salvage, recycling operations, and facility upkeep. You'll ensure safety, efficiency, and productivity standards are met while fostering a culture of teamwork and continuous improvement.
What You'll Do as a Production Lead
Foster a "Safety First" and "Environmental Stewardship" culture
Lead by example in alignment with company core values - Respect, Help, Learn & Grow
Supervise, motivate, and develop production team members
Maintain facility cleanliness and ensure work areas meet safety standards
Manage daily production schedules and performance goals
Oversee automotive salvage and recycling processes
Operate heavy equipment (loaders, forklifts, crushers, etc.) as needed
Audit and record inventory levels to ensure accuracy
Conduct equipment inspections and coordinate maintenance
Enforce company policies, procedures, and standard operating practices (SOPs)
Support hiring, training, and performance management for production staff
Collaborate with management to optimize workflow and process efficiency
Work standard production hours (Monday-Friday), with occasional overtime, weekends, or holidays
What You Bring as a Production Lead
Leadership or supervisory experience in production or industrial operations
Commitment to safety, teamwork, and customer service excellence
Mechanical aptitude and familiarity with automotive parts and systems
Strong organizational and administrative skills
Ability to multitask and adapt in a fast-paced environment
Experience operating industrial or heavy equipment
Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office and mobile tools
Excellent communication and team leadership skills
Physical ability to stand, walk, bend, lift up to 50 lbs, and work in varying weather conditions
Reliable transportation
Preferred:
Experience in the automotive salvage or recycling industry
Experience maintaining heavy equipment (loaders, hydraulics, tow motors, etc.)
Bilingual in English and Spanish
