Mission Statement of theOffice of State Fire Marshal: To uphold the law and provide for the protection of life and property from the hazards of fire or explosion, to ensure the safety of our citizens in the constructed environment, to provide equal access to disabled individuals and to promote the efficient use of energy in commercial buildings. This position location is East Baton Rouge.

Minimum Qualifications
Three years of experience in administrative services.
EXPERIENCE SUBSTITUTION:
Every 15 semester hours earned from an accredited college or university will be credited as six months of experience.

Job Duties and Other Information
Job Duties:
As an OSFM Administrative Coordinator, you'll help create a positive first impression for every person who walks through our doors. In this role, you will:
• Perform responsible departmental-program duties in accordance with rules, regulations, and policies. May involve communication with other departments, customers, etc.
• Serve as liaison and/or contact person for the department or office between and amongst other departments, customers, vendors, and agencies.
• Receive applications or other forms and reviews for compliance with department policies; works to resolve discrepancies; may make initial determinations regarding client's eligibility for department services.
• Prepares requisitions for the purchase of supplies; may involve entering information into an automated system.
