We're looking for a Production Planner to drive execution across our manufacturing operations by aligning demand, materials, and capacity. This role ensures the right parts and services are available at the right time, production schedules are achievable, and programs stay on track from prototype through full-rate production. Position may be located in Baton Rouge, LA or Glendale, AZ.What You'll DoBuild and manage production schedules: Develop and maintain detailed production plans based on demand, material availability, and capacity constraints.Align demand and supply: Translate program requirements into actionable schedules, ensuring material readiness and realistic shop floor execution.Manage work orders and purchase orders: Release, prioritize, and track work orders and coordinate purchase order execution to support production schedules and material flow.Coordinate cross-functionally: Work closely with Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Quality, and Engineering to ensure alignment on priorities, constraints, and delivery commitments.Monitor material availability: Identify shortages, place or expedite purchase orders as needed, and adjust schedules to mitigate supply risk.Drive on-time delivery: Track schedule performance, identify risks to delivery, and implement recovery plans to keep programs on schedule.Support new product introduction (NPI): Plan early builds, prototype schedules, and ramp-up activities to ensure smooth transition into production.Analyze capacity and constraints: Evaluate labor, equipment, and supplier limitations; recommend adjustments to improve throughput and flow.Maintain data accuracy: Ensure ERP/MRP data integrity including lead times, order status, purchase order tracking, and inventory positions.Communicate status and risks: Provide clear updates to leadership on schedule adherence, material risks, and recovery actions.What You'll BringRequiredBachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Operations, Industrial Engineering, or similar (or equivalent experience)3+ years of experience in production planning, scheduling, or manufacturing operationsExperience managing work orders and supporting purchase order processes within ERP/MRP systems (Deltek Costpoint or similar)Strong understanding of production workflows, BOMs, and routing structuresAbility to balance competing priorities and adjust plans in a dynamic environmentProficiency in Excel or similar tools for planning and data analysisStrong communication and coordination skills across cross-functional teamsPreferredAerospace/defense or other highly regulated industry experience (AS9100 environment)Experience supporting NPI and low-rate initial production (LRIP) buildsFamiliarity with capacity planning, constraint management, and finite scheduling conceptsUnderstanding of supply chain constraints, lead-time drivers, and procurement workflowsExperience with demand planning, forecasting, or S&OP processesTools You'll UseERP/MRP (Deltek Costpoint or similar), Excel/Google Sheets, MS Office/Teams/SharePointWhy Bascom HunterHigh-impact role at the center of manufacturing execution and program successDirect visibility into production, supply chain, and procurement operationsGrowth path in planning, operations, and supply chain leadershipCompetitive compensation and benefitsMeaningful mission supporting advanced aerospace and defense systemsWork Environment & EligibilityOffice and production environments; occasional shop floor exposure; ability to lift up to ~25 lbs if needed; Travel up to 10%.
