About this Job
The Public Information Department of Teachers' Retirement System of Louisiana (TRSL) is seeking a Public Information Officer 1 (WAE) possessing the following qualities:
A strong work ethic
High integrity
Creativity
The ability to work well with others and maintain a positive attitude
Strong critical thinking and communication skills
Minimum Qualifications
Three years of experience in public relations, journalism, marketing, content creation, social media management, or graphic design; OR
Six years of full-time experience in any field; OR
A bachelor's degree.
EXPERIENCE SUBSTITUTION:
Every 30 semester hours earned from an accredited college or university will be credited as one year of experience towards the six years of full-time work experience in any field. The maximum substitution allowed is 120 semester hours which substitutes for a maximum of four years of experience in any field.

Assists with public relations programs and components such as brochures, publications, newsletters, etc.
Assists in community engagement
Maintaining and posting social media content, analyzing performance metrics, reviewing trends
Organizes and edits digital assets

This vacancy is being announced as a Classified WAE position and will NOT exceed 1245 hours in a 12 month period.
