Storeroom Clerk - Supply Chain Management

The Storeroom Clerk plays a key role in ensuring the timely receipt, storage, and distribution of supplies throughout the hospital. This position is responsible for receiving shipments, maintaining inventory accuracy, fulfilling supply requisitions, and delivering materials to departments while keeping the warehouse and loading dock organized, clean, and safe.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Valid Louisiana driver's license required (Class D preferred) with an excellent driving record.
  • Ability to lift up to 75 pounds.
  • Experience with shipping/receiving, warehouse operations, or inventory management systems preferred.
  • Experience operating handheld scanners, pallet jacks, or electric lifts is preferred.

Responsibilities:

  • Receive, inspect, and stock inbound shipments from vendors such as Medline, Cardinal, UPS, FedEx, and other carriers.
  • Process and fulfill departmental supply requisitions accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Deliver supplies throughout the organization and ensure all daily deliveries are completed.
  • Utilize Supply Chain Logic (SCL) software, handheld scanners, and inventory management systems to track inventory and inbound freight.
  • Perform cycle counts and maintain accurate inventory records.
  • Rotate inventory using First-In, First-Out (FIFO) practices and monitor product expiration dates.
  • Organize, stock, sort, and replenish inventory to maintain a clean and efficient storeroom.
  • Operate pallet jacks and electric lifts to safely move and store materials, including retrieving inventory from elevated storage locations.
  • Maintain accurate inventory and receiving documentation.
  • Ensure handheld scanners are downloaded and synchronized at the end of each shift.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe warehouse and loading dock by sweeping, removing debris, and properly storing materials.
  • Follow all departmental safety procedures and hospital policies while handling materials and operating equipment.

Schedule:

  • Full-Time
  • Monday - Friday
  • 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM

Pay Range:

  • Hourly; Non-Exempt position
  • $16.00 - $21.53
