Waiter / Waitress – Senior Living Community
Pay: $12/hour
Position Type: Direct Hire

Day Shift Hours | No Late Nights
Schedule: Approximately 25–35 hours per week

Vital Medical Staffing is currently hiring dependable and customer-focused Waiters/Waitresses for a senior living community in Baton Rouge. We are looking for individuals who enjoy providing great service, work well with others, and understand the importance of creating a welcoming dining experience for residents and guests.

This position is a direct hire opportunity with a facility that values professionalism, kindness, and reliability. Weekend coverage is especially important for this role, so candidates with flexible availability Friday through Monday are strongly encouraged to apply.

Shift Details:

• Shift Time: 6:00 AM – 2:00 PM
• Coverage needed 7 days per week
• Most schedules will focus on Friday–Monday coverage
• Additional weekday shifts may be available as needed
• Approximately 25–35 hours weekly
• Day Shift Hours | No Late Nights

Responsibilities:

• Greet residents and guests in a friendly and attentive manner
• Take food and beverage orders accurately
• Deliver meals and beverages promptly
• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of the dining room and workstations
• Set, clear, and reset dining tables
• Refill beverages and restock supplies as needed
• Assist with buffet setup and breakdown when applicable
• Wash and organize dishes, utensils, and kitchenware
• Help maintain kitchen, pantry, refrigerator, and freezer cleanliness
• Follow food safety and sanitation procedures
• Communicate effectively with kitchen staff and supervisors to ensure excellent service

Qualifications:

• Previous serving, waiter/waitress, hospitality, or strong customer service experience preferred
• Fine dining experience is a plus
• Friendly and professional communication skills
• Reliable and punctual
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to remain calm and professional under pressure
• Must be able to stand and walk for extended periods
• Must be able to lift up to 30 pounds occasionally

Dress Code:

• All black attire required
• Non-slip shoes required

Additional Information:

• Vital Medical Staffing will coordinate in person interviews
• Interviews will be conducted by the facility
• Pay reevaluation available after 90 days for possible increase
