Job OverviewAmazon's WW Operations network delivers millions of packages and smiles to customers every day. We are looking for motivated, customer-focused individuals to join our team as an Area Manager. This role leads a team of hourly workers, engaging them during their shifts to maintain safety, quality, attendance, and performance. The Area Manager also ensures customer orders are delivered on time and to the correct location.Operations WorkflowOur operation's workflow has three major components: First mile – where the product is housed and ready for order; Middle mile – where the order is hauled to your area; and Last mile – when the product is delivered to the customer's door.Key ResponsibilitiesSupport, mentor, and motivate hourly workforceManage safety, quality, productivity, and customer delivery promisesCollaborate with support teams (Safety, Engineering, Loss Prevention, Quality Assurance, Human Resources) to develop plans to meet business objectivesLift up to 49 pounds; frequently push, pull, squat, bend, and reachStand/walk up to 12 hours during shiftsWork in environments where noise level varies and may be loudWork in environments subject to variable temperatures and weather (delivery stations include outside loading departments)Continuously climb and descend stairs (applies to sites with stairs)Basic Qualifications2+ years of employee and performance management experienceBachelor's degree or equivalent, or 2+ years of Amazon (blue badge/FTE) experienceWork a flexible schedule/shift/work area, including weekends, nights, and/or holidaysHold a valid and active USA state driver's licensePreferred Qualifications1+ years of performance metrics, process improvement or lean techniques experienceBenefitsYour Amazon package will include sign‑on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs).
