We are looking for a detail-oriented office assistant for a local non-profit organization in the Baton Rouge area serving business across the state. This position will serve a front desk/administrative assistant type role requiring the ability to multi-task and coordinate various duties for multiple managers. In addition, this role will serve as a direct assistant and backup to the HR Director within the company. Hours for the position are 6:30am-2:30pm, and our client pays in the range of $20 per hour and offers an extensive benefits package.
Office Assistant Duties:
• Answer multi-line phone and be able to direct calls across departments
• Perform data entry tasks including filing documents
• Schedule appointments and meetings and prepare the conference room for said meetings
• Draft correspondence and meeting memos
• Assist HR Director in various tasks while serving as backup when they are unavailable
• Perform various clerical duties as assigned when needed
Office Assistant Requirements:
• Previous administrative or clerical experience of at least 2-3 years is REQUIRED
• Previous HR experience is HEAVILY PREFERRED
• Knowledge of various computer programs such as Microsoft Office 365
• Excellent verbal and written communications skills
• Ability to multi-task and remain detail-oriented in fast-paced environment
• Must be able to pass a background check prior to employment
