Job Overview

AMMON Staffing is recruiting Customer Service Representatives for a full-time office-based opportunity with a logistics and transportation service provider in Plaquemine, LA.

This position is responsible for supporting client accounts, entering and maintaining accurate information in company systems, communicating with customers by phone and email, and helping resolve service or account-related issues as they arise.

The ideal candidate will have prior experience in an office, administrative, customer service, logistics, or transportation-related role. Candidates with experience working in SAP or similar business software systems are strongly encouraged to apply.

Key Responsibilities

Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:

  • Managing assigned customer accounts and providing day-to-day support
  • Developing a strong understanding of customer needs and acting as a customer advocate
  • Entering, updating, and maintaining accurate customer, order, inventory, and service information
  • Communicating with customers by email and phone to provide updates and resolve issues
  • Processing customer requests in a timely and accurate manner
  • Managing inventory information and maintaining up-to-date system records
  • Serving as a liaison between customers and internal operations teams
  • Coordinating with internal departments to help ensure smooth service delivery
  • Responding to customer complaints or concerns professionally and promptly
  • Using company systems to track activity, update records, and support customer service functions
  • Using Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel for daily communication and documentation
Qualifications

Qualified candidates should have:

  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in an office, administrative, customer service, logistics, or transportation support role
  • Associate's degree in Business Administration or a related field preferred
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Professional phone and email etiquette
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and follow up on open items
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Word, and Excel
  • Ability to learn company systems and follow established procedures
  • Dependable work history and professional attitude
Preferred Experience
  • Experience working in a logistics, transportation, warehouse support, or customer account support environment
  • Experience using SAP is strongly preferred
  • Experience managing customer accounts or processing customer requests
  • Experience with inventory systems, order tracking, or service coordination
  • Prior experience acting as a liaison between customers and operations teams
