Position Purpose

Provide leadership and oversight of all aspects of finance for the Business Unit, including developing and monitoring progress against the Annual Operating Plan, performing financial analysis, identifying month‑end financial drivers, forecasting, and ensuring compliance with state requirements. Lead medical cost improvement initiatives, conduct financial impact analysis for new contracts and support negotiations, and review monthly performance and results to provide recommendations to senior management. Act as the chief liaison between Corporate Finance and the Business Unit, establish financial strategic vision, objectives, policies, and procedures, oversee and validate pricing models, lead initiatives to identify inefficiencies and improvement areas, direct health plan analytical needs, coordinate reporting strategy, and lead audit and rate‑setting activities with corporate and state actuaries.

Responsibilities

• Oversee all finance related activities for the business unit.
• Develop and monitor progress against the Annual Operating Plan.
• Conduct financial analysis, identify month‑end financial drivers, and forecast including headcount planning.
• Identify medical cost trends and lead improvement initiatives.
• Perform financial impact analysis for new contracts and support negotiations.
• Review monthly performance and financial results, provide recommendations to senior management.
• Represent the business unit in corporate finance discussions.
• Establish financial strategic vision, objectives, policies, and procedures.
• Oversee pricing models and lead initiatives to identify inefficiencies.
• Direct health plan analytical needs and coordinate reporting strategy.
• Act as lead for internal and external audits.
• Lead rate‑setting activity and coordinate corporate and state actuaries.

Education & Experience

Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or Business Administration (required). Master's Degree (preferred). Minimum 10+ years in a high‑level finance role within the healthcare or insurance industry. Must reside in or be willing to relocate to the Baton Rouge/ Covington, LA area. CPA preferred.

Pay and Benefits

Pay Range: $217,600.00 – $411,800.00 per year. Actual pay will be adjusted based on an individual's skills, experience, education, and other job‑related factors permitted by law, including full‑time or part‑time status. Total compensation may also include additional forms of incentives and may be subject to program eligibility.
