About This Opportunity

This position is responsible for:

Planning, coordinating, and monitoring the route assignments for truck or van drivers; monitoring the work of truck or van drivers to ensure fleet operations are in compliance with established policies, procedures, and safety standards; coordinating the maintenance and repair work for all fleet vehicles; assuming the responsibilities of the driver as required.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plans, schedules, and coordinates truck routes to ensure effective and efficient fleet operations; confers regularly with the receptionist to maintain awareness of needed pick-ups; maintain accurate records of daily pick-ups and driver routes.
  • Ensures that truck or van drivers have all paperwork needed for the day and that they are aware of any changes.
  • Ensures that all fleet staff perform work in accordance with established policies, procedures, and safety standards; ensure all fleet staff perform daily inspections of assigned vehicle and receive reports of needed maintenance; obtains estimates and schedule routine maintenance and needed repairs for CSRC vehicles; ensure maintenance work is performed as required by vendors; provides invoices to bookkeeper for payment.
  • Ensures transportation for beneficiaries to and from WTA is coordinated.

Physical Requirements and Working Conditions:

  • Ability to meet attendance requirements.
  • Ability to read, write, and communicate the English language.
  • Ability to operate a telephone and two-way radio.
  • Ability to perform strenuous, heavy work involving the lifting and carrying of heavy objects.
  • Ability to perform continuous walking, stooping, standing, and some climbing.
  • Ability to drive a heavy-duty truck.

Working Conditions:

  • Working is performed in a warehouse environment and may require driving a vehicle daily with exposure to the outdoors where there are physical discomforts associated with changes in weather such as rain, cold, snow, heat of discomforts associated with noise, dust, dirt, and the like.

What We Are Looking For In You

Education and Experience:

  • High School diploma or G.E.D.
  • and
  • Two years experience scheduling fleet routes with some customer service experience,
  • or
  • any equivalent combination of training and experience which provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.

Licenses and Certifications:

  • Valid State Drivers License
