  • Position overview

    Currie & Brown is looking for a Project Controls Lead to help set-up processes and manage a team of Project Controls for an $8bn project.

    Core functions

    • Assist in setting up Project Controls functions to support the project.
    • Oversight of project controls team supporting areas of cost and schedule
    • Change order and claims management, EVM, WBS creation and other project controls functions
    • Work collaboratively with Currie & Brown sister companies to support the growth of C&B services in the US.
    • Liasing with contractor's project controls officers & project managers in reviewing, challenging, and supporting cost validation documentation
    • Managing contingences and regularly reporting/presenting to client stakeholders
    • Providing advice related to project controls, procurement, contracting strategies and administration of different types of contracts

    What skills and attributes are we looking for from you:

    • Bachelor's degree in construction and/or related fields
    • A minimum of 15+ years' construction project controls or cost management-related experience, including ten years in a managerial role
    • Knowledge of facilities engineering, design, construction, contracting and earned value management applied to a diverse portfolio of design and construction projects
    • Extensive background in working with construction projects in the chemical manufacturing and/or oil & gas market
    • Professional registration in field of practice preferred
    • Strong management, organizational and communication skills
    • Outstanding interpersonal and relationship-building skills with a dedication to developing lasting client partnerships (internally and externally) and to maximizing employee engagement
    • Knowledge and experience of executing projects and programs within the planning, engineering, procurement and construction delivery phases
    • Proven track record of growth and business management
    • Ability to work onsite
