Position overview
Currie & Brown is looking for a Project Controls Lead to help set-up processes and manage a team of Project Controls for an $8bn project.
Core functions
- Assist in setting up Project Controls functions to support the project.
- Oversight of project controls team supporting areas of cost and schedule
- Change order and claims management, EVM, WBS creation and other project controls functions
- Work collaboratively with Currie & Brown sister companies to support the growth of C&B services in the US.
- Liasing with contractor's project controls officers & project managers in reviewing, challenging, and supporting cost validation documentation
- Managing contingences and regularly reporting/presenting to client stakeholders
- Providing advice related to project controls, procurement, contracting strategies and administration of different types of contracts
What skills and attributes are we looking for from you:
- Bachelor's degree in construction and/or related fields
- A minimum of 15+ years' construction project controls or cost management-related experience, including ten years in a managerial role
- Knowledge of facilities engineering, design, construction, contracting and earned value management applied to a diverse portfolio of design and construction projects
- Extensive background in working with construction projects in the chemical manufacturing and/or oil & gas market
- Professional registration in field of practice preferred
- Strong management, organizational and communication skills
- Outstanding interpersonal and relationship-building skills with a dedication to developing lasting client partnerships (internally and externally) and to maximizing employee engagement
- Knowledge and experience of executing projects and programs within the planning, engineering, procurement and construction delivery phases
- Proven track record of growth and business management
- Ability to work onsite
