Job Title Data Conversion Specialist Overview / Summary This project supports a modernization initiative to enhance district-level financial data intake and reporting processes. The solution will deliver a customized data management platform aligned with existing operational workflows while improving usability, security, auditability, and reporting capabilities. The Data Conversion Specialist will support the migration of data from legacy systems into the new platform by analyzing, mapping, validating, and testing data throughout the conversion process. This role will collaborate with business stakeholders, IT teams, and cross-functional departments to ensure successful data conversion and data integrity. Key Responsibilities Analyze and map data from the old system to the new platform. Develop and implement data conversion plans. Design and execute data validation and testing processes. Ensure data quality, integrity, and consistency throughout the data conversion process. Collaborate with business stakeholders, IT teams, and other departments to define and prioritize data conversion requirements. Research and evaluate data conversion technologies and industry trends to identify opportunities for improvement. Mentor and train team members on data conversion best practices. Communicate with stakeholders and provide regular project progress and status updates. Required Qualifications Ten (10)+ years of expertise and/or relevant experience in: Data analysis, mapping, and migration between legacy and modern systems. Developing and implementing comprehensive data conversion plans. Designing and executing data validation and testing processes. Ensuring data quality, integrity, and consistency throughout conversion projects. Collaborating with business stakeholders, IT teams, and cross-functional departments to define and prioritize data conversion requirements. Desired Qualifications Prior experience with similar state applications. Experience with data conversion tools, ETL platforms, and scripting languages.
