Job Details

The Energy Information Research Associate analyzes the fiscal, economic, and employment consequences of energy, natural-resource, and environmental programs. This includes quantifying impacts of water-management districts, OSR/ NRTA expenditures, certification programs, CCUS deployment, industrial reinvestment, and restoration activities. The Research Associate will help the Department and Legislature anticipate tradeoffs, costs, benefits, and regional implications of long-term policy decisions. Conducts economic and/or engineering modeling tied to statewide water and energy planning, NRTA investments, CCUS, restoration programs, and industrial development. Develops expertise in cost-benefit analyses, technoeconomic analysis, workforce projections, fiscal impact assessments, and economic dashboards for legislative and executive decision-makers.
