The Coordinator of Literacy supports the successful implementation, consistency, and equity of the districts Literacy programs and guides school-level personnel in ensuring that instruction is aligned with the Louisiana Standards. They are responsible for interpreting changes to the curriculum and informing personnel of the implications of those changes. The Coordinator evaluates the effectiveness of literacy instructional materials, methods, and programs and helps to develop strategies for improvement. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Assists school-based staff with improving techniques of instruction and improving overall student achievement. Work in conjunction with other district departments to facilitate and support literacy development and implementation across all programs.
