This Research Associate 3 position oversees all functions of the Core Laboratory Gene. Lab administered by the Division of Biotechnology & Molecular Medicine. The position manages all aspects of Gene. Lab including overseeing the associated cost center. The position oversees all functions and equipment within Gene. Lab, ensuring the appropriate maintenance of equipment and its use by faculty, staff and students. The position works in close collaboration with the Bio. MMED front office to ensure accurate posting of all expenses and invoicing Gene. Lab clients. The position performs nucleic acid sequencing reactions, including conventional Sanger sequencing as well as next generation sequencing. The position works with Bio. MMED staff for the deployment of new sequencing technologies that can be used for research and diagnostic purposes.
