Job Summary:

At TATA Consulting Engineers, we are at the forefront of the energy transition and industrial innovation. We are looking for strategic and experienced Project Leaders to drive the successful delivery of complex, large-scale projects across the Energy (including Power), Metals, and Chemical/Oil & Gas sectors in the United States.

As a key client-facing leader, you will be responsible for the entire project lifecycle, from initial concept to final closeout. We are seeking a leader who can orchestrate multidisciplinary teams, manage significant budgets, and ensure projects are delivered on-schedule, exceeding client expectations and reinforcing our commitment to excellence and safety.

Your Key Responsibilities:

  • Drive Project Delivery: Take full ownership of the planning, execution, and financial performance of diverse projects within your sector, including thermal, renewables, grid modernization, metals processing, and chemical/oil & gas facilities.
  • Champion a Culture of Safety: Promote and lead a "zero-incident" safety culture on all projects, ensuring the well-being of all team members, clients, and partners is the top priority.
  • Serve as a Trusted Client Partner: Act as the primary point of contact for the client. Build and maintain strong, trust-based relationships, ensuring strategic alignment and clear communication from kickoff to completion.
  • Lead High-Performing Teams: Direct and mentor a multidisciplinary team of engineers, consultants, and project staff. Foster a collaborative and inclusive environment that encourages innovation and delivers exceptional results.
  • Manage Financial Outcomes: Oversee project budgets, financial forecasting, and P&L. You will be responsible for cost control, change management, and ensuring the overall financial success of your projects.
  • Grow the Business: Actively support business development efforts by contributing to proposals, participating in client presentations, and identifying new opportunities to expand our services and market presence.

Core Requirements:

  • Relevant four-year degree in Engineering or Business-related field, with work experience on related energy & power programs
  • A minimum of 20 years of experience in the Energy, Power, Metals, or Chemical/Oil & Gas industry, with a proven track record of managing complex, multi-million-dollar projects in the United States.
  • Demonstrated experience in a client-facing project management role within an EPCM, Owner's Engineering, or professional services environment.
  • Demonstrated direct experience leading a program controls team, including responsibility for planning, base-line scheduling, and cost controls.
  • Demonstrated understanding of capital programming, technical design and construction oversight, program delivery, commercial management, health and safety, and other key disciplines necessary to deliver a complex program.
  • Ability to articulate complex concepts and demonstrate extensive experience in partnership-building, agency coordination planning, and program experience
  • Strong business acumen with experience managing project financials, contracts, and risk.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to lead client meetings, negotiate contracts, and inspire project teams.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • A Project Management Professional (PMP) certification.
  • A Registered Professional Engineer (PE) license.
  • An advanced degree in Engineering, Business, or a related field (e.g., MBA).
  • Experience with alternative project delivery models (e.g., EPC, Design-Build).
  • Experience with program governance and a variety of program management organizational models
  • Technical expertise in one or more areas of Energy & Power
