This position is responsible for cleaning and maintaining the LSU Student Union facility. This person must be capable of moving about in a 305,000-square-foot building multiple times daily to clean and prepare ballrooms, meeting/conference rooms, lobbies, office space, and exterior sidewalks, patios, and balconies. Cleans lobbies, bathrooms, hallways, meeting rooms, billiards area, and administrative area of the union by sweeping, mopping, scrubbing, dusting, and polishing. Mixes or blends cleaning solutions to proper concentrations as necessary - 30%Responsible for set-ups and breakdowns associated with daily events in meeting rooms, lobbies, ballrooms, and exterior grounds - 25%Cleans, strips, waxes, and polishes floors using industrial-size mops and commercial-type floor machines. Fills commercial floor machines with cleaning solutions of proper concentration, empties unused solution into the appropriate container - 20%Cleans floor machines and checks and recharges batteries.
