The function and purpose is to perform advanced custodial tasks in order to maintain the cleanliness, sanitary conditions, and appearance of UREC facilities. Normal work hours for this position are from 3:30 pm - 12:00 am. Job Responsibilities:40%: Serves as lead custodian by providing training and guidance to Custodian II positions. Performs floor maintenance and other special cleaning tasks such as tripping, waxing, buffing, and carpet cleaning using industrial grade machines; Performs stain removal on carpets and resilient floors; strips floor using chemical stripper; scrubs, spray buff, and burnishers. Cleans the following areas: restrooms, offices, classrooms, stairwells, elevators, hallways, and other assigned areas.
