Shop Worker / Delivery Driver - Baton Rouge

$16/HR

Monday-Friday 8 am - 5 pm.

Express Employment Professionals, a full-service staffing agency, is hiring a Shop Worker / Delivery Driver for a local manufacturing company in Baton Rouge. This position will deliver materials and products to job sites, plants, and customers, driving a pickup truck.

CORE RESPONSIBILITIES for Shop Worker:

• Load and Unload Materials in the shop.
• Loading and unloading materials by hand.
• Have a good customer service attitude and appearance when delivering materials on-site.
• Will be required to work in the shop when not making deliveries.
• Ensure the correct orders and quantities are loaded and dropped off to customers.
• Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
• Performing Shipping and Receiving duties.
• Will be going into plants and job sites.

Skills and Experience REQUIRED:

• Must be able to lift to 50 lbs
• Must have a valid driver's license.
• Must have or be able to acquire a TWIC card.
• Experience working in a Warehouse.
• Must be able to work outdoors for extended periods
• Must be able to consistently lift heavy materials and be on their feet for extended periods
• Must have steel-toed boots before starting
• Customer Service oriented
• Strong ability to take initiative
• Must be on time every day
