Snelling Staffing is searching for an Accounts Payable Specialist for a high-profile company in the Baton Rouge area. This position would be a great fit for individuals looking to further their careers with a company looking for a long-term fit to add value and make a difference in a dynamic office environment. The ideal candidate would be an energetic team-player with a knowledge and passion for accounting looking to make a career with a company. This will be a full-time position paying in the range of $40,000 plus depending on experience.

Accounts Payable Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Review all invoices for accuracy and receive required approval for payment processing.
• Prioritize invoices accordingly and payment terms.
• Process checks requests and credit card bills.
• Match invoices to checks, obtain all signatures for checks, and distribute accordingly.
• Respond to all vendor inquiries in a timely manner.
• Reconcile vendor statements, research, and correct any discrepancies.
• Maintain files and documentation accurately

Accounts Payable Requirements:

• 1-5 years of experience in billing, accounting, finance, or related fields.
• Bachelor's in Accounting or related field strongly desired
• Knowledge of standard accounting procedures.
• Previous experience using Quickbooks Desktop is preferred.
• Extremely organized and high attention to detail.
