Workday Project Manager

Location: Atlanta, GA (Hybrid)

Duration: 3 months

Role Summary:

Seeking for an experienced IT Project Manager with expertise in Workday Financials to oversee a major enterprise system implementation. You will collaborate with various teams and vendors to deliver secure, scalable, and compliant solutions.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead and coordinate Workday Financial Management and Procurement projects.
  • Provide full lifecycle project leadership across Workday Financials modules.
  • Align Workday system design with accounting policies and compliance requirements.
  • Collaborate with Workday functional leads, integration developers, and internal SMEs.
  • Track configuration, data conversion, integrations, and testing activities.
  • Assist in cutover planning and post-production stabilization.
  • Conduct status meetings and manage project scope changes.
Job Duties:
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to achieve business and system objectives.
  • Facilitate business process assessments and redesign efforts.
  • Monitor project milestones, testing cycles, and integration readiness.
  • Maintain strong relationships with leadership and stakeholders.
Minimum Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field or specialized training.
  • 3 years of IT project management experience.
  • PMP certification from PMI or equivalent.
  • 5 years of experience leading moderate to high complexity projects.
  • 3 years of hands-on experience with server-based application development/enhancement projects.
  • Proficiency with MS Project, MS Visio, SharePoint 2013, and MS O365.
  • Strong understanding of accounting and procurement principles, financial reporting structures, and ERP integrations.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience leading/coordinating vendor-managed projects.
  • Executive-level written and oral communication skills.
  • Experience working in Federal/state/government projects.
  • Hands-on familiarity with Workday Financial Management and Procurement Management.
  • Experience working in an outsourced environment.
Must Have Skills:
  • 5 years of communication skills (verbal and written).
  • 4 years of Microsoft Office experience.
  • 4 years of MS Project experience.
  • PMP Certification.
  • 4 years of presentation skills.
  • 4 years of project management experience.
  • 4 years of SharePoint experience.
  • 5 years of ERP Project Management experience.
  • 3 years of Workday Financials experience.
  • 4 years of MS Teams experience.
  • 5 years of finance process optimization experience.
  • 3 years of strategic sourcing experience.
