Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent.

Certification in office practice or enrollment in such a program is desired.

Work experience in office functions of a dental or health care setting required.

Job responsibilities require that English is the primary language and have proficiency in English, spelling, and arithmetic.

Must possess a high degree of accuracy for the performance of job-related tasks and functions.

Must be computer literate for specific job functions.

Ability to function effectively as a Team Member.

JOB SUMMARY:

Function as often the first point of contact for all patients utilizing our facilities for health care. Manage the timely and accurate collection of important patient information, and function as a resource to patients entering the facility.

Performs the specific job responsibilities as identified in the role as patient access clerk. Works independently and with minimum supervision performing specific job responsibilities and tasks. Functions effectively as a team member and identifies opportunities for improvement in performance of work processes and job responsibilities.

Specific Duties and Responsibilities:

Achieve Results

  • Ensure the safe, productive, and efficient operation of the clinic assigned through timely and attentive administrative and clinical support (as authorized or licensed).
  • Ensure all patients enjoy a positive experience, treated with the care and compassion expected.
  • Ensure all patient records and related documents are managed and maintained timely, accurately, and consistent with all HIPAA and related regulations and requirements.
  • Remains flexible to be cross trained in other job responsibilities as identified and can be depended upon to modify work schedule as required by the clinic and according to policy.
Operational Excellence
  • Ensure all tasks provided and associated with patient care, patient administrative processes, and related duties complies with all regulatory and accreditation standards, as well as clinic policies and procedures.
  • Ensure that all records collected, processed, and entered are done so in a timely, accurate manner.
  • Ensure and uphold the confidentially requirements of all patient records, and manage all daily task and activities consistent with HIPAA, state and federal laws and regulations, as well as the clinic's policies and regulations regarding confidentiality and security.
Relationships
  • Respects the confidentiality of patient information and clinic business and supports the clinic mission and patient rights and responsibilities.
  • Establish favorable working relationships with all staff members associated with center operations, including nurses, physicians, vendors, contractors and related staff.

School Based Transport Driver

MUST HAVE CLEAN DRIVING RECORD

Qualifications:

High School Diploma or equivalent- To have mature reasoning ability required in this role.

Must have current driver's license for State of LA and comply at all times with any restrictions placed on that license such as use of visual aids such as glasses as stated on driver's license.

Must qualify for the CDL license and meet the standards which is a designation required by the Arbor Family Health organization.

First Aid/CPR certification

Job Description

Patient care support functions:
  • Provides transportation services in getting the children to and from their medical/dental appointments from their classroom/school setting to the SBHC site.
  • Maps out and reviews daily driving schedule, communicating this function to the SBHC Clinic Manager and other team members so as to coordinate appointments more efficiently.
  • Works directly with clinical team to seat the children for their appointments in a timely manner.
  • Drives van safely and effectively abiding by all regulations (state and organizational defined) in order to get the child to the needed services and back to their home school designation.
  • Follows all LA. Seat belt laws required for any individuals riding in the van at all times. Demands this safety at all times.
  • Covering Patient Access Clerk position and Transportation at other locations other than the one you are primarily assigned.
Transportation Program Clerical Responsibilities:
  • Prepares any packets for distribution to the appropriate school personnel.
  • Prepares transportation forms for the school based program.
  • Files the transportation records according to protocol.
  • Prepares census/volume reports for the program on the daily basis and any other type of reports as needed by the Assistant SBHC Director.
  • Prepares miscellaneous reports as directed.
  • Delivers and performs pick up of any written materials for the program or the organization and transports any other clients or performs errands needed for the program as directed by the SBHC Clinic Manager.
  • Interacts with school personnel and other community agencies using excellent communications skills.
Van Responsibilities:
  • Maintains log of maintenance for the van to include the mechanical key checkpoints.
  • Drives the van to areas for periodic maintenance.
  • Drives the van to service appointments as directed. Indicates issues with van's functional ability in order that maintenance can be planned.
  • Cleans entire inside of van weekly and outside as needed in-order that the appearance of the van remain clean.
  • Reports any variances in performance of the van to the SBHC Clinic Manager for action.
  • Drives the van with exceptional safety at all times.
General Performance Standards:
  • Utilizes clinic resources efficiently and effectively.

  • Keeps current on and adheres to all policies and procedures as enumerated in the Policy & Procedure Manual.
