What You'll Do
- Perform calibration, testing, troubleshooting, and minor repairs on electrical and mechanical test equipment
- Follow documented procedures and quality standards
- Support lab production and operational goals
- Travel to customer sites to support Onsite calibration work
- Represent JM professionally while delivering high-quality service
Travel is required to support Onsite work
All travel and expenses are fully paid by the company
Technician Level Breakdown:
Calibration Technician I (Entry-Level)
Primary Focus: Learn, build technical competency, and contribute consistent production output.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Basic mechanical or electrical aptitude
- Strong work ethic and willingness to learn
- Ability to follow detailed procedures
- Comfortable working in a production-based environment
What Success Looks Like:
- Meet defined production benchmarks as assigned
- Maintain quality standards with limited errors
- Demonstrate steady improvement in efficiency
- Limit downtime and remain engaged during active workload
- Successfully progress through required training milestones
Calibration Technician II (Mid-Level)
Primary Focus: Independent production contributor with strong quality and output consistency.
Requirements:
- 1–3+ years of calibration, mechanical, electrical, or related technical experience
- Ability to perform technical tasks independently
- Solid understanding of electrical and mechanical fundamentals
- Proven ability to meet production goals
What Success Looks Like:
- Consistently meet or exceed production targets
- Maintain low rework and high documentation accuracy
- Support turnaround time goals
- Assist with onboarding and coaching Level I technicians
- Represent the company professionally across all work environments
Calibration Technician III (Advanced-Level)
Primary Focus: Versatile, high-accuracy technical leader.
Requirements:
- 3+ years of calibration experience (PMEL or TMDE experience preferred)
- Advanced troubleshooting and repair ability
- Strong production and quality history
- Customer-facing professionalism
What Success Looks Like:
- Lead complex calibrations with efficiency and accuracy
- Meet advanced production benchmarks
- Minimize rework and quality escapes
- Support production flow during high-volume periods
- Mentor developing technicians while maintaining personal output
