The Office of State Parks (OSP) serves the citizens of Louisiana and visitors by preserving and interpreting natural areas of unique or exceptional scenic value, planning, developingand operating sites that provide outdoor recreation opportunities in natural surroundings, preserving and interpreting historical and scientific sites of statewide importance and administering intergovernmental programs related to outdoor recreation and trails.
This position is located atState Parks Administrative Office in Baton Rouge, LA. The purpose of this position is to provide a professional specialist level of expertise with responsibilities in the areas of procurement, vendor identification and registration, state contracts, appropriate use of the LaCarte state purchasing card, reconciliation of invoices with procurement documents, WIFI and telecommunications installations at sites statewide, etc. They are also responsible for purchasing and coordinating capital outlay repairs and construction projects from active budgets that span over 10 fiscal years of open project funding.

Minimum Qualifications Three years of experience in procurement, contracts or grants management, financial management, accounting, or auditing; OR
Six years of full-time work experience in any field; OR
A bachelor's degree.
EXPERIENCE SUBSTITUTION:
Every 30 semester hours earned from an accredited college or university will be credited as one year of experience towards the six years of full-time work experience in any field. The maximum substitution allowed is 120 semester hours which substitutes for a maximum of four years of experience in any field.

Job Duties and Other Information Job Duties: - Performs various administrative tasks such as scheduling, screening visitors, and answering telephone calls for the manager.
- Assumes lead worker responsibilities of certain management functions such as completing and submitting paperwork to the Administrative Office or Human Resources.
- Maintain inventory of supplies; operates office equipment.
- Assists with new hire paperwork and training.
- Operate the fee station at the park entrance. Register overnight and day use visitors; collect fees from customers.
- Process payment vouchers, delivery receiving reports, requests for purchases and contracts in written form.
- Instruct personnel at the park fee stations on correct procedures for collecting fees, cash control, recording revenue, and completing all daily, weekly, and monthly revenue reports.
- Greets visitors. Provides information regarding site accommodations, amenities, policies, procedures, laws, fees, tourist information, etc.
- Receives, sorts, and distributes mail.

Appointment Type: Probational, Promotion, or Detail to Special Duty

Work Schedule: The State Parks Administrative Office is open Monday-Friday, typical office hours are 8am-4:30pm. This position will work full-time hours, 40 hour work week. Schedule includes paid time off for state holidays.
Travel: Position requires occasional travel to state parks and historic sites, statewide, as needed for meetings, training, etc. When travel is required, a state vehicle is provided for employee use while on duty.
