What You Will Do:
Efficiently and courteously process all incoming calls, facilitate emergency code paging, and operate a multi-station switchboard to assist internal and external customers.
• Answer, route, and place calls using appropriate telephone etiquette.
• Handle emergency/disaster code paging and voice paging according to policy.
• Maintain awareness of hospital departments, programs, and personnel for accurate call routing.
• Update and maintain contact lists, on-call books, and departmental logs.
• Operate overhead paging and external paging systems to contact physicians and staff.
• Ensure compliance with HIPAA and safety standards.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
