Oracle Health Patient Accounting comprises of a portfolio of SaaS products and services designed to fully automate insurance and patient billing while providing a first-class experience for end users. We operate with an AI-first engineering culture - engineers are expected to use AI-assisted approaches to accelerate delivery and improve quality across system design, coding, testing, documentation, and operations.
We are seeking a Consulting Member of Technical Staff (IC5) to design and develop scalable, distributed, and resilient software components and services to support health care applications, and our end users. We believe in ownership and expect you to think long term, mentor, and empower other engineers. As a technology leader you will be responsible for the complete SDLC from architecture, development, testing, first class monitoring, to production.
Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities
Design, develop, ship, and own software end-to-end-from initial concept through production support
Lead and execute major initiatives that span multiple components and require complex, coordinated changes
Drive projects forward in situations with significant technical ambiguity
Deliver high-quality enhancements supported by automated tests, instrumentation, metrics, and monitoring, and work effectively in distributed systems by validating changes to ensure dependable, high-quality releases
Build a strong understanding of business goals behind the code, product, and architecture through self-directed learning
Influence and grow the team through example, mentorship, knowledge sharing, and participation in hiring
Use data to evaluate outcomes and clearly communicate the impact of your work
Create execution plans informed by usage telemetry and customer insights
AI-First Engineering Expectations
Demonstrate practical experience using AI-assisted techniques/tools to improve developer productivity and quality (e.g., faster prototyping, stronger test coverage, safer refactoring, better documentation)
Apply an AI-first mindset to day-to-day work: generating and validating code suggestions, creating/maintaining tests, and improving observability and runbooks - while maintaining strong engineering judgment
Understand and follow enterprise security and privacy requirements when using AI tooling (e.g., protect sensitive data, use approved tools/workflows)
Minimum Qualifications
Must be eligible to obtain and maintain a Federal Security Clearance, which requires you to be a US Citizen
12+ years of software development experience building commercial cloud services (SaaS, PaaS)
Proficiency in one or more: Java, C#, SQL, Python
Proven ability to lead and deliver projects amid significant technical ambiguity, and contribute to the growth of peers
Comfortable collaborating on an agile, globally distributed team across time zones
Strong foundation in system design and architecture best practices (including security and operations)
Experience building, deploying, and scaling multi-tenant SaaS applications
Experience in using AI based tools across the development lifecycle
Strong communication skills, both verbally and via technical/design documentation
BS or MS in Computer Science (or equivalent)
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with healthcare / financial systems
Understanding of patient accounting workflows & processes

US: Hiring Range in USD from: $96,800 to $251,600 per annum. May be eligible for bonus, equity, and compensation deferral.
Oracle maintains broad salary ranges for its roles in order to account for variations in knowledge, skills, experience, market conditions and locations, as well as reflect Oracle's differing products, industries and lines of business.
Candidates are typically placed into the range based on the preceding factors as well as internal peer equity.

Paid time off: Flexible Vacation is provided to all eligible employees assigned to a salaried (non-overtime eligible) position. Accrued Vacation is provided to all other employees eligible for vacation benefits. For employees working at least 35 hours per week, the vacation accrual rate is 13 days annually for the first three years of employment and 18 days annually for subsequent years of employment. Vacation accrual is prorated for employees working between 20 and 34 hours per week. Employees working fewer than 20 hours per week are not eligible for vacation.
