Key Responsibilities:

As an AI Research Intern, you will significantly impact the development of distributed, high-performance AI training and deployment systems. Your role will involve:

  • Collaborating with applied scientists and software engineers to innovate and optimize AI model structures for scalability and performance.
  • Utilizing cutting-edge technologies in a creative environment focused on rapid development.

What You'll Bring: (Minimum Qualifications)

  • Enrollment in a Doctorate program in Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Physics, Linguistics, or a related discipline during the 2025-2026 academic year, and commitment to return after the internship.
  • Experience in designing and deploying scalable AI models in production settings.
  • Strong proficiency in Machine Learning, Generative AI, Data Science, and Deep Learning architectures.
  • Hands-on experience with LLM frameworks and plugins such as LangChain, LlamaIndex, VectorStores, and LLMOps.
  • A record of academic publications.
  • Residence in the United States or active attendance at a U.S.-based university.
  • Eligibility for work authorization in the U.S. in 2026.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • A minimum GPA of 3.0.

Compensation:

The hourly compensation for this role ranges from $19.62 to $53.00, which translates to an annual salary range from $40,800 to $110,240, based on qualifications. Oracle offers a comprehensive benefits package to support our team members.
