The Team:

The Machine Learning Research Group seeks exceptional AI and ML research interns dedicated to pushing the boundaries of scientific knowledge with practical applications. As part of our dynamic research team, you will have opportunities to publish your findings in top-tier machine learning and artificial intelligence platforms. Our focus areas include recommender systems, content moderation, foundation models, privacy-preserving technology, probabilistic programming, and AI agents. Your contributions will be pivotal in driving significant advancements.

Responsibilities

  • Create innovative datasets that challenge and enhance existing AI and ML capabilities.
  • Research, design, and implement state-of-the-art methodologies.
  • Contribute to impactful research with high potential for publications and conference presentations.
  • Collaborate effectively with team members and cross-functional departments.
  • Translate technology innovations to product teams.
  • Engage and collaborate with external researchers, enhancing the research community.

What You'll Bring:

To qualify for this exciting Research Intern position, you must meet the following qualifications:

  • Pursuing a Ph.D. in Recommender Systems, Content Moderation, Natural Language Processing, Speech Processing, Computer Vision, Machine Learning, Artificial Intelligence, or related fields, with plans to return to your program after the internship.
  • Research or work experience in relevant domains such as Recommender Systems, Content Moderation, Natural Language Processing, Speech Processing, Computer Vision, Machine Learning, or Artificial Intelligence.
  • Proficient programming skills in Python, along with hands-on experience using popular machine learning frameworks like PyTorch.
  • A demonstrated record of research and publications.
  • Exceptional communication skills with a collaborative mindset.
  • Must reside and/or attend university in the United States.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • A minimum GPA of 3.0.
