Production Operator
Location: Port Allen, LA
Pay Rate: $18.00 - $20.00/hour
Schedule: Monday - Thursday, 6:00 AM - 4:30 PM
Overtime as needed on Fridays, 6:30 AM - 4:30 PM
Duration: 6-month contract

Position Summary
The Production Operator is responsible for performing manufacturing and production activities in compliance with GMP standards, government regulations, and company policies. This role supports daily operations to ensure safe, efficient, and high-quality production output.

Key Responsibilities

  • Complete required training in GMP, safety, and company procedures
  • Perform daily production tasks, including:
    • Cylinder preparation
    • Bake-out and blow-down processes
    • Filling and packaging of finished drug products
  • Execute daily and weekly production schedules to meet operational goals
  • Communicate schedule changes and production needs with team leads and Quality Assurance
  • Ensure proper staging, segregation, documentation, and safety compliance
  • Review and follow Production Batch Records and procedures
  • Procure materials and components for manufacturing operations
  • Conduct inventory checks to prevent production delays
  • Maintain accurate and complete logbooks in compliance with procedures
  • Perform equipment cleaning and preventive maintenance
  • Assist in other production areas as needed
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment

Minimum Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; PTEC degree preferred
  • 2+ years of manufacturing experience preferred
  • Background in Chemistry or Compressed Gases is a plus
  • Experience in FDA-regulated environments preferred
  • Knowledge of current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMPs)

Skills & Competencies
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Team-oriented with a results-driven mindset
  • Experience with ERP systems (e.g., SAP) preferred

Work Environment
  • Primarily indoor work with occasional outdoor exposure
  • Standard schedule of four 10-hour shifts per week (subject to change based on business needs)
