Office of Workers' Compensation

The Louisiana Works is seeking an Administrative Coordinator to join the Office of Workers' Compensation. The Office of Workers' Compensation Administration (OWCA) in Louisiana oversees the enforcement and administration of workers' compensation laws, aiming to support early return-to-work efforts and improve workplace safety. The department manages disputed claims, conducts hearings, reviews medical treatment disputes, and investigates fraud through collaborative efforts like the GAME ON task force.

This position provides administrative and clerical support to ensure accurate case processing, effective communication with stakeholders, and efficient operation of the Medical Services Section.

Job Duties and Other Information

Job Details:

•Receive and input cases/files into the JustWare system, ensuring accuracy and completeness before forwarding to medical staff. These can be received via email, mail, and facsimile.

•*Respond to phone calls and emails from stakeholders, providing information or referring to the appropriate staff member.

•*Assist with incoming and outgoing mail for Medical Services. This may encompass preparing certified mail.

•*Prepares notices of receipt and filing and proofreads for typographical errors prior to sending to involved parties.

•*Assist RN Supervisor and Medical Director with clerical duties
