Typical Duties & Responsibilities
Safely and accurately utilize the manual machining equipment listed below to repair/fabricate/manufacture typical industrial process components including (but not limited to) shafts, shaft sleeves, mechanical seal components, bushings, bearing housing sleeves, wear rings, etc.
Manual lathe
Milling machine
Drill press
Vertical turret lathe
Key seater
Manual shaft straightener

Environment and Hazards
Large portion of work is performed in a shop environment in a controlled atmosphere building may require visits into a shop/warehouse as well as outdoors. Many hazards exist including but not limited to humid/wet conditions, moving mechanical parts, fumes or airborne particles, moderate to high noise levels, and vibrations. Some use of power, pneumatic, and hydraulic tools and equipment may be required.
