About this Job The mission of the Louisiana Department of Health is to protect and promote health and to ensure access to medical, preventive, and rehabilitative services for all residents of the State of Louisiana. This highly responsible, professional engineering position which utilizes technical skills and the application of scientific principles in the prevention and control of communicable disease transmission related primarily to drinking water and domestic wastewater. Many tasks are of a highly specialized, complex, technical nature requiring extensive training and experience that in many instances must be performed in the absence of supervision.
