At Ethics Administration, we strive to achieve compliance by governmental officials, public employees, candidates, and lobbyists and provide public access to disclosed information. Our mission is to provide staff support for the Louisiana Board of Ethics by administering and enforcing Louisiana's conflict of interest legislation, campaign finance disclosure requirement, and lobbyist disclosure laws and registration.
The Administrative Assistant 3 provides administrative and legal support to staff attorneys by processing legal documents, managing docketing and payments, and maintaining calendars. The position also serves as an assistant to staff attorneys and backup to the receptionist on a rotating basis with other administrative personnel.

Job Duties and Other Information:
Reviews, scans, files and mails advisory opinions, certificate of votes, and other correspondence for Deputy General Counsel and assigned staff attorneys. Scans, files, mails, publishes and sends Consent Orders to Fiscal, and processes payments with respect to ethics fines/penalties in accordance with the agency's cash management procedures. Assists the assigned attorneys with docketing waiver requests into the NOVUS system. Provides backup coverage for the front desk answering the phone and opening mail for the agency. Files pleadings and/or charges with the District Court or Ethics Adjudicatory Board upon request of staff attorneys. Provides backup to calendaring matters for assigned attorneys' legal calendars after receipt of information from DAL's SharePoint system. Assists the Disclosure Section with filing and scanning documents.
Position Specific Details:
Appointment Type: This position may be filled by probational appointment (probation in lieu of promotion), promotion, or detail to special duty. Selected candidate may be required to serve a probational appointment of up to two years. Compensation: The maximum amount listed for the salary pay range is the amount a person can make throughout their career in the position not the maximum amount we are allowed to pay at the time of hire.
