Position Summary

The Full-Charge Bookkeeper position is responsible for managing the complete bookkeeping cycle for Campbell Business Solutions, LLC clients. This role requires a high level of accuracy, organization, and autonomy, with responsibility for maintaining financial records from daily transactions through month-end and year-end close. The Full-Charge Bookkeeper works closely with management and accounting staff to ensure timely, compliant, and reliable financial reporting.

Core Responsibilities - Full-Charge Bookkeeper

  • Manage and record day-to-day financial transactions, including accounts payable and accounts receivable.
  • Maintain accurate general ledger accounts and supporting documentation.
  • Reconcile bank, credit card, and loan accounts on a regular basis.
  • Process payroll, including payroll data entry, payroll tax filings, and related compliance requirements.
  • Prepare and maintain accurate client financial records in accordance with company standards.
  • Generate, review, and analyze financial reports, including profit and loss statements, balance sheets, and cash flow reports.
  • Manage month-end and year-end closing processes, including journal entries and account reconciliations.
  • Prepare and file sales tax returns and assist with other regulatory and compliance-related filings.
  • Communicate with clients regarding financial data, discrepancies, and documentation needs.
  • Collaborate with senior accounting staff and management to support financial analysis and business decisions.
  • Maintain organized digital and physical filing systems for financial records.
  • Perform other accounting and administrative duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications

  • Proven bookkeeping experience with responsibility for the full accounting cycle.
  • Strong organizational skills and exceptional attention to detail.
  • Proficiency with accounting software (QuickBooks required).
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including spreadsheets.
  • Strong understanding of bookkeeping principles and financial reporting.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple clients, priorities, and deadlines independently.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working in a bookkeeping or accounting firm environment.
  • Knowledge of payroll processing and payroll tax compliance.
  • Experience with sales tax filings and multi-entity bookkeeping.
  • Associate's degree or coursework in accounting, bookkeeping, or a related field.
