About the role

Job Summary
The Jr. Machinery Mechanic is responsible for assisting in the maintenance and repair of industrial machinery under close supervision. This entry-level role supports senior mechanics in diagnosing issues, performing basic repairs, and ensuring equipment is safe and operational.
This job profile is intended for entry-level support staff who follow specific instructions and procedures, with supervision provided for non-routine situations. Tasks can be carried out after basic training or demonstration.
Key Responsibilities

• Assist in inspecting and maintaining machinery and mechanical systems.
• Perform basic repairs and part replacements.
• Support preventive maintenance routines.
• Clean and organize tools and work areas.
• Follow safety procedures and report hazards.
• Document maintenance activities.
• Learn and apply mechanical troubleshooting techniques.
• Skills & Qualifications
• May require basic vocational training (or equivalent work experience) and the ability to carry out assigned tasks after initial instruction or demonstration.

Qualifications:

• Basic mechanical aptitude.
• Willingness to learn and follow instructions.
• Good teamwork and communication skills.
• Attention to detail and safety awareness.
• Ability to use basic hand tools.
