At Capitol City Produce, our Day Order Selectors are the precision team behind every perfect delivery. You are responsible for selecting, organizing, and preparing customer orders with speed, accuracy, and care. Every box you touch represents our commitment to freshness and excellence.

This role plays a critical part in ensuring on-time deliveries and top-tier service to our customers. If you thrive in a fast-paced warehouse, love staying active, and take pride in getting the details right this position is for you.

What You'll Do

• Accurately select and prepare customer orders for shipment
• Assist with loading and unloading delivery trucks
• Check in returning delivery drivers
• Operate warehouse equipment including forklifts, pallet jacks, electric ride-on jacks, and voice tech systems
• Help maintain clean, organized coolers and warehouse areas
• Ensure all paperwork is completed accurately and turned in on time
• Support team members with product locations and workflow priorities
• Promote and follow all safety policies and food safety standards
• Participate in inventory counts when required
• Complete required safety and warehouse certifications

What We're Looking For

• High school diploma or equivalent
• 13 years warehouse, inventory, or operations experience preferred
• Ability to lift up to 75 lbs and remain active throughout your shift
• Comfortable working in refrigerated environments
• Strong communication and basic math skills
• Ability to prioritize tasks and work efficiently under deadlines
• Team-first attitude with a strong work ethic

Work Environment

This is an active, hands-on warehouse role. You'll be working around forklifts and pallet jacks in high-traffic areas. Temperatures range from coolers at 34F (and below) to outdoor Louisiana heat. Expect to stand, walk, lift, bend, and move throughout your shift.
