About this Job
The Custodian 3 performs advanced housekeeping and manual labor duties to support the efficient, safe, and sanitary operation of the campus. Serving as a lead custodian, this position provides training, guidance, and limited direction to lower-level custodial staff while also performing the full range of Custodian 2 duties. Responsibilities include inspecting completed work, conducting follow-ups, and ensuring all custodial equipment is safe and fully functional. The Custodian 3 also completes miscellaneous tasks as needed to maintain high cleanliness standards and support departmental operations.
Minimum Qualifications
One year of experience in custodial, housekeeping, groundskeeping, or food service work.

Job Duties and Other Information
Job Duties:
- Performs housekeeping tasks, manual labor, and other activities necessary for the efficient operation of the campus. Serve as lead custodian by providing trainings and guidance to lower level custodians.
- Performs the same task and duties assigned to Custodian 2's.
- Inspects and performs job follow-ups.
- Inspects and insures that all equipment to be used is safe and fully functional.
- Gives limited direction to other custodians.
- Performs any other miscellaneous related duties necessary to maintain the cleanliness and sanitary conditions of the University, as well as the efficient and safe operation of the department
