Electrical Apprentice -Baton Rouge, LA

Direct Hire

$24-28/hr Based on Experience

Mon-Fri 8:00 AM- 5:00 PM

Express Employment Professionals, a full-service staffing agency, is currently hiring for Electrical Apprentice for a local industrial technology company in Baton Rouge, LA. This company is headquartered in Austin, TX. They provide safe and reliable heating solutions while serving the chemical markets to provide innovative solutions for industrial heating applications. This company specializes in providing services such as: flow assurance, process heating, temperature maintenance, freeze protection, and environmental monitoring solutions. For this role, the associate must be able to assist with and complete maintenance work orders on electrical equipment within the industrial industry. Rate will be based on experience and passing of electrician test.

CORE RESPONSIBILITIES for Electrician:

• Testing electrical and mechanical circuits
• Comprehending blueprints, schematics, and one-line diagrams
• Installing and testing heat tracing systems
• Must own set of hand tools
• Following electrical codes and regulations
• Unloading delivery trucks
• Maintaining electrical and mechanical systems and components:
  • Must be able to assemble, install, and repair
• Must be available for training when needed

QUALIFICATIONS & CERITIFICATIONS REQUIRED for Apprentice Electrician:

• High school/trade school required
• Industrial Construction Experience
• equivalent work experience
• Valid TWIC card required
• SCADA, PLC, and Control Automation i.e. Energy Management Controls preferred
• Can lead, teach, develop, and mentor others
• Must have valid driver's license or state ID and social security card

BENEFITS:

• Overtime if wanted minimum of 40 hours max of 70 hours a week.
• Per Diem to travel
• Out of state travel if wanted
• 75 to 150 seven day per diem depending on site.
