Bookkeeper Position

We are looking for a meticulous and organized Bookkeeper to join our team in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. This role involves managing financial records, processing transactions, and ensuring accuracy in bookkeeping operations. As a short-term contract to permanent position, it offers an excellent opportunity for growth and long-term collaboration with our team.

Responsibilities:

• Maintain accurate financial records, including accounts payable and accounts receivable.
• Process invoices, payments, and collections in a timely manner.
• Perform bank reconciliations to ensure all financial transactions are balanced.
• Prepare and generate monthly financial reports for management review.
• Support audits by organizing and providing required documentation.
• Track and reconcile donations, sponsorships, and event-related revenues.
• Assist with payroll processing and maintain HR-related financial records.
• Collaborate with external auditors and tax professionals for compliance purposes.
• Utilize QuickBooks to manage and streamline financial operations.
• Identify opportunities for improving financial processes and implement solutions.

Requirements:

• Proven experience in bookkeeping and financial management.
• Proficiency in QuickBooks and familiarity with accounting software.
• Strong knowledge of accounts payable, accounts receivable, and bank reconciliations.
• Ability to prepare accurate financial reports and maintain detailed records.
• High school diploma or equivalent; additional certifications in accounting or bookkeeping are a plus.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel and Word.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively.
